In the latest move in the Korean missile controversy, the DPRK has expressed willingness to talk to the United States about the sensitive topic. Han Song-ryol, the deputy chief of the DPRK mission at the UN in New York, says his country had a right to develop and test missiles, but would like to solve the tensions through discussions. Meanwhile, Seoul, Washington and Tokyo have said the evidence that the DPRK may test-fire missiles imposes grave danger to regional security.
