Saddam thrown out court

Saddam Hussein and another defendant were thrown out of court on Tuesday after shouting during their trial. They're charged with genocide against the Kurds.

The judge cut off the microphone as Saddam attempted to speak. He then pointed to court bailiffs to escort the ex-president from the courtroom. Saddam interrupted the proceedings by shouting a verse from the Quran. He yelled, "Fight them and God will punish them." Some believed this to be a call for members of his disbanded Arab Baath Socialist Party to continue fighting US forces in Iraq.
