Staying in Beijing the Military Museum has also marked the 70th anniversary of the Long March. The exhibition highlights one of the most famous journeys in history.
President Hu Jintao addressed the opening ceremony last week, saying the spirit of the Long March will encourage all Chinese people to build a modern and harmonious socialist country. Former President Jiang Zemin, other retired leaders, and senior military officials have also visited the exhibition. The show displayed hundreds of photographs, documents and models recreating the Red Army's 12 and a half-thousand kilometer journey.
