The long-stalled six-party talks look set to resume after China, the DPRK and the United States reached a consensus on Tuesday in Beijing. Now Liu Yang examines the three countries' stances, as they look ahead to yet another round of talks.

Again the DPRK has made its position clear: It will cooperate with the other parties in seeking a resolution to the nuclear issue. And financial sanctions are not what it wants.

The DPRK decided to return to the six-party talks on the premise that the issue of lifting financial sanctions will be discussed and settled between the DPRK and the U.S. within the framework of the six-party talks.
