US and S. Korea hold talks on DPRK

On the sidelines of an Asian-Pacific summit in Vietnam, U.S. Envoy Christopher Hill said that the six-party talks on resolving the DPRK nuclear issue are likely to resume in early December.

In addition, after meeting with his South Korean counterpart, Chun Yung-woo, Hill told reporters that all parties concerned needed to stick to the agreements made in last year's round of talks in order for any progress to be made. A full day of 'shuttle diplomacy' then took off with Chun and Hill also meeting Japanese nuclear envoy Kenichiro Sasae for the first time since the DPRK agreed to return to negotiations.
