DPRK ship inspected by French

French authorities have carried out a search on a ship owned by the Democratic People's Republic of Korea. This is part of new measures put in place against the country following its nuclear testing last month.

The ship was carrying cement cargo near the Island of Mayotte in the Indian Ocean, a French territory off the east coast of Africa. DPRK's nuclear testing in October drew widespread condemnation and UN sanctions were applied. French foreign ministry noted that the EU council would soon adopt a common position on the restrictive measures to be taken regarding the DPRK.
