Iran to produce nuclear fuel

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, has said Tehran will be able to produce all the nuclear fuel it needs by next year. His comments came during a TV interview on an Iranian channel.

Ahmadinejad said his country would be self-sufficient in the production of nuclear fuel next year despite U.S. pressure. On the channel's web site, Ahmadinejad brushed aside the implications of possible sanctions by the UN Security Council. He said that pressure by the US and Israel would not succeed. He was also quoted as saying that Iran's nuclear case was clear and did not violate international measures.
