US hold trade talks with South Korea

More than 200 trade negotiators from the US and South Korea have gathered in the US for a fifth round of free trade talks.

Their goal is to reach what could be the most significant US trade agreement since the North American Free Trade Agreement of 1992. The talks will focus on beef imports, and tariffs will be discussed. Meanwhile, as negotiators attempted to hammer out differences inside, about 20 demonstrators gathered outside to voice opposition.

The negotiations have drawn protests in South Korea where there is fierce resistance from labour, agriculture and social groups, as well as the film industry.
