Chinese leaders have agreed, in principle, to visit Japan next year.
This is according to State Councilor Tang Jiaxuan during a Monday meeting with former Secretary-General of the Liberal Democratic Party, Koichi Kato.
Tang says the elimination of political obstacles and the resumption of high-level visits will benefit the two countries. He also suggests the two sides use the opportunity to map out a long-term development plan for bilateral relations.
