First winter sonw falls in Beijing

A blanket of snow has fallen on Beijing. It's the first big snowfall for Beijing so far this winter. The snow, which continues to fall, has brought with it some traffic inconvenience.

More than 100 flights have been delayed at Beijing's Capital International Airport due to the snow. Some parts of major expressways in and out of the city have also been temporarily closed.

According to the Central Metrological Observatory, the snow blizzard will move towards the east over the next two days, covering many areas in the north and eastern China.
