Bush to announce new Iraq plan

US President George W. Bush is expected to announce his new policy on Iraq on Wednesday.

White House spokesman Tony Snow says plans are likely to include sending up to 20,000 more US troops to Iraq to help ease sectarian tensions and stabilize the country.

Meanwhile, Democrat leaders in the US Congress are also set to discuss Iraq in a series of hearings this week.
