US forces raid Iranian gov´t office in Iraq, 5 employees arrested

Iranian officials are reporting that US forces stormed an Iranian government representative's office in the northern Iraqi city of Arbil and arrested five Iranians.

The raid came hours after US President George W. Bush accused Iran and Syria of aiding militants in Iraq and promised to "interrupt" the flow of support. The US military confirmed that five Iranian government employees have been arrested in the area. But it didn't mention the raid on the Iranian consulate.

The Iranian government condemns the raid and has urged the US military to release the five employees.
