Iran says US no position to attack the country

Iran's Foreign Minister says the US is in no position to attack Iran. However, Tehran says it is ready if the US does decide to attack. He was speaking to reporters after the African Union summit in Addis Ababa on Tuesday.

Mottaki's comments come as the US Navy undertakes a routine six-month deployment to the Middle East to conduct maritime security operations. The operations include boarding and searching ships suspected of carrying terrorists or nuclear components to Iran.

Manouchehr Mottaki, Iranian Foreign Minister, said, "United States is not in the position to create another war in our region and post it to American tax payers, is our understanding. But we are ready for any option."
