A US army officer has refused to go to Iraq because he believes the Iraq war is illegal.
First Lieutenant Ehran Watada spoke to a few hundred people at a Methodist church in Fort Lewis, Washington telling them that the Iraq war is like the Vietnam war and he would not fight in that country.
Watada has been sued for refusing to be deployed. If convicted, he could spend up to four years in prison. Watada's court-martial is scheduled for Monday. A military judge says he can't use an "illegal war" argument as his defense.
