On Tuesday, representatives of over twenty Chinese companies in Namibia welcomed President Hu Jintao.

Hu Jintao, Chinese president, said, "I'm very happy to meet you people who work at the front line of Sino-African trade cooperation, and to hear your opinions and suggestions. Most of you are old Africans now, having worked on this continent for a long time and under difficult conditions. The president also laid out requirements for the Chinese companies.

Hu Jintao said Chinese companies should strive to achieve high quality and trust. All business leaders and staff should build first-class brands and must punish irresponsible business practices.

He said the companies should be socially responsible and benefit the local people. They should create employment, improve living conditions, build public facilities, provide personnel training programs, and protect the environment.

Hu Jintao, Chinese president, said, "Sino-African economic cooperation is of vital importance. I hope you can grasp opportunities and work hard to develop relations with Africa, and make greater contributions to its people. "
