China wants to boost co-op with S.African poverty areas

Hu Jintao has met with South African Deputy President Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka. They discussed mutually-beneficial, practical cooperation between their two countries.

Mlambo-Ngcuka updated Hu on South Africa's economic and social development. Hu said China will work with South Africa to take practical measures to establish balanced and reciprocal trade relations between the two countries.

China wants to boost cooperation with South Africa in areas like alleviating poverty, rural development and Chinese language studies.
