Chinese President to pay state visit to Russia

Chinese President Hu Jintao will start a three-day state visit to Russia next Monday.

He is scheduled to attend the opening ceremony of the "Year of China" in Russia. On Tuesday, Hu met with Russian journalists in Beijing, to talk about "National Year" events, trade and media exchanges.

He also talked about building a harmonious society in China, the Beijing Olympics, the country's economic development and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
