The UN Secretary-General has wound up his first visit to Israel since taking office. Ban Ki-moon says the visit has given him a better understanding of security concerns in the country.
Ban Ki-moon met on Monday with Israeli opposition leader, Benjamin Netanyahu, and Israeli Vice-Premier, Shimon Peres.
The Israeli military later took Ban on a helicopter tour around Israel and the West Bank in efforts to give the UN Chief a taste of the security challenges in the region.
