Arab leaders have arrived in the Saudi capital of Riyadh, just ahead of a two-day Arab League Summit.
The Summit aims to revive an earlier peace initiative, by reissuing to Israel, an offer first made in 2002. This promises pan-Arab recognition of Israel if Israel withdraws from lands captured in the 1967 Arab-Israeli War.
The peace plan also calls for setting up a Palestinian state with east Jerusalem as its capital, and allowing Palestinian refugees to return to former homes in Israel.
Palestinian foreign minister, Ziad Abu Amr, says Arab leaders consider this "a good plan" to achieve security and stability in the region.
