President Hu also paid a visit to the Moscow 1948 Middle School where he took a little time to teach a Chinese rhyme to Russian students.
President Hu Jintao received a warm welcome at the Moscow 1948 Middle School.
The school features Chinese-language lessons. All students begin learning Chinese from the time they enter the school. As they learn the students develop special feelings about China and hope to visit one day.
The students showed Hu Jintao their award winning design for a Chinese traditional house and garden. It earned them first prize in the Moscow Creativity Competition of Middle School Students.
During his visit Hu Jintao met a class of Grade three students.
He was invited to teach them a children's rhyme.
Asked how to improve their Chinese, President Hu Jintao told the students that perseverance, diligence and practice are the keys to leaning Chinese.
Students also gave a splendid performance in Chinese.
Hu Jintao says as China and Russia are good neighbors, and their people are friends, brothers and partners, learning Chinese will be helpful.
Hu Jintao said, "I really hope students here will learn Chinese well, and become good translators and Chinese teachers in the future. I also hope you will make your contributions to the Sino-Russian friendship when you grow up."
The schoolmaster says they will try to develop more students talented in Chinese so they can be bridges of friendship between the two countries.
