A group of scientists has discovered the skeletal remains of a gigantic prehistoric bird in northern China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.
With a wingspan of 8 meters and standing over 5 meters tall, the creature is believed to have weighed about 1,400 kilograms. It's the largest prehistoric bird ever found.
Scientists hope the discovery will help answer questions of evolution and provide critical insight in the ongoing debate about the dinosaur-bird relationship.
