Two Chinese navy ships are on their way to Spain after completing their visit to Britain.
During their five day stopover, the two Chinese warships conducted the first ever joint exercise with the British aircraft carrier Ark Royal in the Atlantic Ocean south of Portsmouth.
It's the first time Chinese naval vessels have conducted a joint exercise with an aircraft carrier and their first exercise in the Atlantic.
Naval officials from both countries agree that cooperation between China and Britain is improved by visits and joint exercises. This is the second time Chinese warships have paid calls to Britain since September 2001.
