All delegations for CPC Nat´l Congress arrive in Beijing

Special Report: 17th CPC National CongressAll delegations from across the country have arrived in the capital. Over 2,000 delegates, representing more than 73 million Party members, are expected to attend the five-yearly National Congress.
With the Party Congress just two days away, delegations are streaming into the capital to plan the country's direction.
"We hope that the upcoming 17th National Congress will make new strategies for building a well-off society, take new measures on livelihood issues and direct China's reinvigoration in the next five years." said a delegate.
The "Concept of Scientific Development" is expected to be highlighted along with other major theoretical developments. It focuses on a people-oriented and sustainable development.
China has applied the concept for modernization since it was announced in 2003.
A delegate said, "Under the guidance of the concept of scientific development, China has seen great achievements and progress in the building of the CPC and social development."
The delegates from the Tibet Autonomous Region were the first to arrive on Friday. The meeting, which starts on Monday, will decide the Party's new leadership and the nation's course for the next five years.
