Feng: Mr. Zhou, you've read the draft report of the 16th Central Committee, what impresses you most?
Zhou: What impresses me the most is the concepts of scientific development and social harmony, which will govern our work over the next five years and beyond.
Feng: In your opinion, what is the goal of social harmony and scientific development?
Zhou: Progress is still the top priority within Scientific Development. It emphasizes putting people first and requires all-around, harmonious and sustainable development. So we should pay more attention to environmental protection and saving resources. Social Harmony requires harmony between people and the environment. Enterprises must shoulder more social responsibility to help the country form a harmonious and stable situation.
Feng: You are one of the delegates representing private enterprises, what do you think it means to the CPC?
Zhou: The number of delegates representing private enterprises has reached 20 for this meeting. Private enterprises are playing a greater role in Chinese society, and our party is becoming more open.
