Delegates continue to discuss Hu´s report

Special Report: 17th CPC National CongressThe landmark report made by Hu Jintao on the opening day of the 17th CPC National Congress has pointed out a direction for China's development. It has become a topic much discussed by the delegates to the Congress.
In one discussion, the delegates analyzed the deeper meaning of the report. They said they are determined to carry on with the reforms and the opening-up, so as to push forward the country's economy.
Delegate Xu Kezhen said "Thanks to our nation's increased strength, the past five years have been a period when the Chinese people have received the most benefits and the country has seen the greatest development."
Delegate Zhu Yanfeng said "In our automobile industry, nothing can be achieved without much motivation. Yet motivation cannot be without direction. So mental liberation is the key."
Delegate Zhan Shengjun said "The standard of a moderately prosperous society is multi-dimensional. When one point is reached, other points may not. Therefore, we stress the need for harmony in development."
Delegate Yao Yaping said "A good ecological situation is of vital importance to regional economic development. It is indispensable."
Meanwhile, delegates from the People's Liberation Army also discussed Hu Jintao's keynote speech.
Delegate Li Jinai said the report is the Party's political statement and a guideline for the future. And the report raised new goals and requirements for the national defense and military buildup.
Delegate Chen Bingde said the PLA must carefully study the military buildup in this new era in history. The delegates agreed that the PLA should build a military force that conforms to the interests of the country's security and development.
