FM: Sino-Indian relations enjoying healthy development

Special Report: Indian PM Visits ChinaChinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi held talks with his Indian counterpart, Pranab Mukherjee, in the northeastern city Harbin.
The two ministers discussed bilateral issues and exchanged ideas on international issues of common concern.
Thursday's meeting between Yang Jiechi and Pranab Mukherjee was the fourth bilateral meeting of China and Indian's Foreign Ministers in the past half year.
It came one day after a trilateral session between foreign ministers of China, Russia and India on Wednesday.
Yang Jiechi said the development of China and India and the improvement of the two country's relations is an impressive dynamic. The prosperity of the two countries and their close coordination in world affairs is a must for a harmonious world and and harmonious Asia.
Yang said Sino-Indian relations are enjoying healthy development. The 11th round of meetings on the Sino-Indian border issue, cross border river experts meetings were separately held in Beijing. Bilateral trade this year is expected to exceed 30 billion US dollars.
Yang Jiechi said China will support the work of the special representatives in the border meetings and try to work out a fair framework with the Indian side.
Mukherjee expressed his appreciation for China's efforts in the successful trilateral meetings among China, Russia and India and spoke positively about bilateral relations.
Mukherjee agreed that strengthening Sino-Indian relations is not only conducive to regional peace and stability, but also of great significance to world peace and prosperity. He said Indian would like to work with China to deepen mutual understanding and cooperation to raise bilateral relations to a higher level.
The two foreign ministers also exchanges views on the appropriate settlement of the Myanmar issue.
