Over 100 Chinese food companies sign agreement on food safety

Special Report: High Level Int'l FS ForumMore than 100 Chinese food companies attending a food safety forum in Beijing have promised to strengthen the safety of their products.
The companies have signed an agreement that commits them to enhance product supervision, provide better product information, and create a safer environment for consumers.
To make the quality control process more transparent, they will also allow third-party monitoring, and share their experiences with one another.
They also called on more companies to sign the agreement, so as to share the responsibilities for ensuring food safety. So far, more than 300 Chinese food companies have pledged to sign the document.
