China is continuing its nationwide campaign to improve product quality and food safety.
Vice Premier Wu Yi and chief of quality watchdog, Li Changjiang, have visited Guangdong Province to inspect the quality of food, medicine and toys. Wu Yi inspected the place of origin of the raw materials. The inspection team says ensuring the safety and quality of raw materials is crucial for Chinese products in the international market.
Li Changjiang said, "Despite criticism from the foreign media, this company got a 10 percent raise on orders of its qualified products. This indicates the reputation of a company depends on the quality of its products. So quality should come first in a company."
