Kenya election to be held

Election officials in Kenya have made last minute checks to voting materials and ballot boxes ahead of Thursday's election.

It will be Kenya's fourth general election since a multiparty system was introduced in 1992.

Millions of Kenyans are expected to vote in what is predicted to be a very close race.

Security has been kept tight in hopes of preventing vote tampering and further violence.

An earlier incident in western Kenya killed at least 4 people, including 2 policemen.

Official results are expected Friday afternoon, but the likely results may be reported overnight.
