President Hu: China willing to increase mutual trust with Japan

Special Report: Japanese PM's China VisitPresident Hu Jintao and top legislator Wu Bangguo have held separate meetings with visiting Japanese Prime Minister Yasuo Fukuda in Beijing. Both sides expressed their hope that bilateral ties will develop in a steady and smooth manner.

President Hu Jintao said China is willing to strengthen dialogue with Japan to increase mutual trust and seek solutions to sensitive issues.
Similar sentiments were expressed during the meeting between Wu Bangguo and Fukuda. Wu Bangguo said the Chinese National People's Congress and the Japanese Diet have started a program of regular exchanges. Fukuda said the two legislatures should cooperate more to deepen ties.
