HK, Macao to elect NPC deputies

The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region is to hold an election on Thursday for deputies to the National People's Congress.

A total of 36 people representing Hong Kong will attend the congress in March. Local media say some new and young faces are expected to join the delegation.

A similar election is scheduled for Saturday in the Macao SAR. 12 people will be elected as Macao's deputies to China's legislature.
