UN chief shocked at violence in Kenya

UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon has expressed his shock over the ongoing violence in Kenya.

In a statement released by his spokesman on Wednesday, Ban called on the authorities to do all they can to prevent further fighting.
Michelle Montas, UN Sec'y General's spokeswoman, said, "The secretary general reminds the government as well as the political and religious leaders of Kenya of their legal and moral responsibility to protect the innocent lives of people regardless of their racial, religious or ethnic origin."
