UK police examine Bhutto death scene

A team of British police officers has visited the area in Rawalpindi where former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto was killed.

Members of the team examined the crime scene, which was washed down soon after the killing. Islamabad has asked the UK police to assist with the investigation into her death.

Bhutto's husband, Asif Ali Zardari, accused elements within the government of responsibility for her murder and demanded an UN investigation.

President Pervez Musharraf has blamed Islamic extremists and denies any suggestion of government involvement.
