US-India nuclear cooperation denounced

Opponents of a US-India accord on civil nuclear cooperation are urging governments to push for changes, saying the current proposal will hurt efforts to stop the spread of nuclear weapons.

The deal would allow the United States, for the first time in three decades, to ship nuclear fuel and technology to India.
In exchange India would open its civilian nuclear reactors to international inspectors. India's military reactors would remain off-limits.
