China: Singh´s visit fruitful

President Hu Jintao and top legislator Wu Bangguo have met separately with visiting Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. Both leaders say Singh's 3-day visit, which ended Tuesday, has achieved positive results.

President Hu Jintao described Singh's visit to China as successful and fruitful. The Indian Prime Minister signed a series of cooperation documents including one listing the two nations' "shared vision" for the 21st century and the tasks to be completed.

Singh said the goal of his visit was to increase cooperation and strengthen friendship with China. He said China and India are the two fastest developing economies in the world and the two countries' strong economic growth will contribute to the development of Asia and the world.
