Kenya's opposition has taken control of parliament after Kenneth Marende was voted in as the new Speaker.
Marende is backed by the Orange Democratic Movement.

He garnered 105 votes against government-backed Francis Ole Kaparo who received 101.
The session marks the first time President Mwai Kibaki and opposition leader Raila Odinga have been in the same room since last month's disputed election which the opposition leader accuses Kibaki of winning fraudulently.
Analysts say the dispute is a reflection of deep bitterness over Kibaki's re-election.
Security is heavy around the parliament building as police try to prevent a renewal of post election violence that has killed more than 600 people, and left 250 thousand homeless.
