Hillary, Romney emerge as winners of Nevada caucuses

Senator Hillary Clinton has won Nevada's Democratic caucuses, beating arch-rival Barack Obama in a hard-fought race.

With 79 percent of precincts reporting, Clinton has 51 percent of the vote, compared to 45 percent for Obama. John Edwards came in a distant third, grabbing only four percent of the votes.

Former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney won a landslide victory in the Republican contest, gaining more than 50 percent of the vote leaving Arizona Senator John McCain and Texan Ron Paul in a close race for a distant second place.
