They will formally take office after they pass a detailed audit by a panel under the Standing Committee of the 10th NPC.

The top three are Rita Fan, President of the Legislative Council of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. She topped the ballot by winning 1,118 votes from 1,169 members. Laura Cha, a non-official member of the Executive Council of Hong Kong SAR, garnered the second most votes in the contest of 50 candidates. Fanny Law, former commissioner of the Independent Commission Against Corruption, who had the largest number of nominations, also won in the election at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center.
