Messages of sympathy pour into China

Messages of sympathy from around the world are pouring into China following the snow disaster.

Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez, Malawian President Bingu Wa Mutharika, Tajik President Emomali Rakhmon, Singaporean Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso all spoke highly of the joint efforts and effective measures implemented by the Chinese government and the people, to deal with the bad weather.

They expressed the belief that China will ride out the disaster and resume normal life soon. They say they are ready to provide assistance and wish the Chinese people good luck for the upcoming Spring Festival.
