According to the Disaster Relief and Emergency Command Center under the State Council, a total of 22.12 million households, or 93 percent of those without power during the snow storm, have regained access to electricity.

Coal reserves for power generation in the disaster areas increased from 800,000 tons to over 23 million tons on Sunday. The boost in reserves was made possible by beefed up transportation from the coal-producing north to the disaster-hit central and south.

Meanwhile, the average wholesale price of vegetables on Monday fell for the third consecutive day.

The command center said market prices were basically stable, urging disaster-hit areas to resume vegetable production and increase supply as soon as possible.

Transport departments have rushed food to snow-hit regions to ensure supply and keep prices stable during the ongoing Spring Festival holiday.

From Jan. 25 to Sunday, railways shipped a total of 113,000 cars of food like grains, vegetables and fruits to disaster-hit regions.

A total of 340,000 armed policemen had been dispatched to help relief work across the country by 5 p.m. Monday, while 6.56 million stranded passengers and residents had been rescued by Monday.
