In Chongqing, China, the country's female footballers are doing much better than the men. They fought back from one goal down to defeat South Korea in the opening match of the East Asian Football Federation Women's Championship.

Monday's deadlock wasn't broken until a minute before half time. Wang Kun met Bi Yan's free kick and sent the ball to Han Duan, before the well-placed striker shot it into the back of the net giving China a one-nil lead. But Park Hee Young levelled the score for South Korea early into the second half. The South Korean striker soon got her second goal of the match when she found herself with only the goalkeeper to beat.
The match became 2-all when Xu Yuan's shot hit the crossbar, making it much easier for Han Duan to kick the ball inside the net. Substitute Guo Yue then sealed the match for China in the dying minutes. 3-2 the final score.
Han Duan, China Team's striker said "Our team are trying our best to prepare the match. I feel so happy to win this match and I'm sure that our coach Elizabeth is also quite happy to win. We hope our today's win could bring good luck to her father and hope he could recover soon."
Japan makes last gasp win over DPRK
In an earlier match between Japan and the DPRK, Japan took the lead with midfielder Kozue Ando's 4th-minute header making it 1-nil. The Koreans levelled things up on 38 minutes Ri Kum Suk headed into an unguarded net. Doesn't stop there 10 minutes into the second half, Ri Un Gyong put the Koreans ahead 2-1.
But Japan's Nadeshiko got the equalizer from a freekick in the 83rd minute, Aya Miyama curved a long-range shot to beat keeper Han Hye Yong.
And finally, Japan's skipper Homare Sawa took the winner in the third minute of stoppage time with this shot. 3-2 the final score.
