The China Academy of Space Technology says the country is planning 10 space launches this year.

This includes the Shenzhou VII spaceship, two environmental satellites, a meteorological satellite and a communications satellite for Venezuela.

The launch of Shenzhou VII will feature a spacewalk by taikonauts and will lay the foundation work for the country's space station construction.

China is also planning to send a record number of satellites into spaces in the next five to ten years.
