prices stable to ensure smooth production this year.

According to the meeting in Beijing, which was jointly held by the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Agriculture and five other departments on Tuesday, fertilizer supplies will reach 27.2 million tons, while demand is expected to hit 26.6 million tons in the country during the spring plough starting in late February and ending in late April.

The meeting says fertilizer prices will stay stable as the country has taken a series of measures, such as lifting export tariffs and increasing stocks. Fertilizer producers in the south have resumed normal operations as power supply has been restored after the snow storms.
