The defiant response follows the latest round of United Nations sanctions passed against Iran for refusing to suspend its uranium enrichment activities.

This was the first time for the Iranian president to publicly comment on the most recent sanctions, since they were imposed earlier this week.

Ahmadinejad also maintains that a recent probe by the International Atomic Energy Agency into Tehran's past activities has ended positively, wrapping up any unanswered questions.

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Iranian President, said, "We have announced that our nuclear issue is over. The IAEA's report on Iran means the end of all accusations they imposed on us in the past years. Now we have the document that acknowledges the issue is over and we have separate documents showing Iran has answered all questions."
