Vice Procurator-General Sun Qian says Chinese judicial organs will deal with the rioters in Lhasa in accordance with laws.

Sun said Friday's outburst of violence in Lhasa was engineered by a handful of Buddhist monks, and was a separatist plot premeditated and masterminded by the Dalai clique.

He said the rioting aimed at undermining the stability and solidarity of Tibet, and destroying the normal, harmonious and peaceful life of Tibetan people.

An outburst of violence on Friday, which Tibetan regional government says was engineered by Dalai clique, has claimed the lives of 10 civilians and caused many injuries.

And Sun also said the situation in Lhasa is gradually calming down. Judicial departments in the region have released a joint proclamation, urging the rioters to stop their criminal behavior, and the authorities will also lessen the punishment of those who confess voluntarily.
