The Chinese mainland's fourth stem cell donation to Taiwan has been shipped to Taipei. This is also the second stem cell donation from 22 year-old donor Xiao Jun.

The first was about a year ago when he was successfully matched with a person in Taiwan, whose illness was cured by the donation.

So far, almost 800,000 people have voluntarily joined the China Marrow Donor Project. 60 percent of patients who need hematopoietic stem cell transplants are matched with compatible donors in the initial test. So far, some 800 successful transplants have been conducted in China, including patients from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan.
