Special Report: 3.14 Tibet RiotsA veteran Tibetan official says there are ample facts proving the Dalai clique organized and instigated the recent Lhasa riot. The official, Ragdi says the aim was to disturb the social stability and well-being of the Tibetans and put pressure on the Chinese government before the Olympics.
In a meeting on Tibet's development, former Vice-Chairman of the Standing Committee of China's top legislature, Ragdi says the violence is in essence a symbal of Dalai clique against the government. |
In a meeting on Tibet's development, former Vice-Chairman of the Standing Committee of China's top legislature, Ragdi says the violence is in essence a symbal of Dalai clique against the government.
Ragdi said, "The Dalai clique does not want to see the healthy development and the stability of Tibet, under the leadership of the Communist Party of China. They conspired to secede Tibet from the motherland and undermine the peaceful environment and harmonious atmosphere of Tibet."
The violence was described by some western media and politicians as "peaceful demonstration". While the efforts to maintain social order was described as "violent crackdown". Ragdi says such reports are irresponsible.
Ragdi says the Dalai clique has never given up the separatist activities, after the 1959 failed rebellion to secede Tibet from the motherland.
Ragdi said, "We have sufficient evidence to prove that the Dalai clique had organized, premeditated and masterminded the violent riot. To make the things even complicated is that some of the illegal activists were fanned to use violence to beat, smash, loot and arson. But the core root is the long-standing Dalai clique's separatist motive."
The riots in Lhasa, send a clear signal that the Dalai clique has never given up their attempt to sabotage the central government's goal of creating a stable, harmonious and prosperous Tibet autonomous region. |
Tibet is the window for China's religious and ethnic polices. As Ragdi notes, it has enjoyed its highest level of development over the past decade. He hopes those responsible will be punished, and life in Lhasa will return to normal, so that local residents can continue their normal religious activities.
Tibet has always been at the forefront of China's fight against separatist activities. The recent riots in Lhasa, send a clear signal that the Dalai clique has never given up their attempt to sabotage the central government's goal of creating a stable, harmonious and prosperous Tibet autonomous region.
