More religious figures condemn Lhasa riots

Special Report: 3.14 Tibet RiotsMore religious figures have condemned the sabotage activities in Tibetan-populated areas. They say the unrest has seriously disrupted religious orders, and goes against the wishes of Tibetan compatriots.
During his long-time study of Tibetan Buddhism, Douger Cering said his research has shown that the central government has long supported people's religious rights. He says the Government has paid a lot for the protection and reconstruction of Tibetan temples, sacrificial altars and other religious places. He says the central government also considers religious people's lives to be of great importance, and has brought them into social insurance system.
Douger Cering from China Tibetology Research Center,said, "My research has proven that the rioters are the major saboteurs of the Buddhist order and the stability of Tibet's education."
Dawa Tsering was from Tibetan-populated area in Qinghai Province. He says the government has issued a set of regulations on reincarnation of Tibetan living Buddhas. It is an important move to respect the practice of Tibetan Buddhism.
Dawa Tsering said, "The living Buddhas are satisfied with the central government's policy on religion, include the construction of the mosques and religious activities they are undertaking. Nowadays people are all satisfied with their rights of free religion."
The religious figures expressed their anger over the riots. They believe that most of the Tibetan compatriots won't be deceived by the Dalai clique, and can together maintain Tibet's stability and prosperity.
