China criticizes western media´s false reporting on Tibet

The Chinese Foreign Ministry has criticized some Western media's false reporting on Tibet.

Ministry spokesman Qin Gang was asked at a press conference if a website called Anti-CNN.com had received funding or material support from the Chinese government. The new site is devoted to exposing falsities in the reporting on Tibet by Western media, including CNN.

Qing Gang denied the suggestion. He asked: "Is it necessary for the Chinese government to instigate public response to Western reporting? Rather, these reactions are heartfelt and spontaneous critiques by Chinese people from all sectors of society of the Western media's irresponsible and biased reports." Qin Gang said that although the Lhasa riots are over, they will always be remembered by all Chinese people.
