Portugal against Olympics boycott

Portugal's government on Thursday rejected any initiative to boycott the Beijing Olympic Games. Presidency Minister Pedro Silva Pereira announced that a high ranking Portuguese government official will attend the 2008 Olympic opening ceremony on August 8.
